Mary Ellen Ginther, age 77, of Canton, went home to be with the angels on Sunday August 30, 2015. She was born Alliance, Oh on February 17, 1938 to the late Robert and Ethel Dailey and graduated from Alliance High School and Mount Union College with a degree in education. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she always baked cookies for the different outreaches of the church. She also belonged to Silver Sneakers at the Y in North Canton. Most especially she enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother and always cheered at her grandchildren's baseball and softball games and school musicals. Mary had always loved animals and her currents pets are Lady and Samantha. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Paul; daughter and son-in-law Leslie and Kevin Scheppler of North Canton; grandchildren Kayla, Kelsey and K.J. Scheppler; sister-in-law Christine Dailey; niece Lynn (John) Thewes; nephew Jack (Shirley) Dailey; and lots of great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Jack Dailey; and brother-in-law Bill (Beverly) Ginther. Calling hours are Friday 6-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Canton.
