Mary Leeanna "Nan" Clulo, age 91, of North Canton, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008, in St. Luke Lutheran Home. She was born in Wheeling, WV August 15, 1917, to Bernice and Russell Beuter and was raised in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Mary worked for Sears in Downtown Canton in 1957 and retired from the Sears store in Belden Village in 1982. She lived at Carrage Hill apartments for 24 years then the Canton Regency for two years before moving to St. Lukes. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Clulo; daughter, Barbara Woods; sister, Margaret Elliott. She is survived by daughters, Joyce (Douglas) Close of North Canton, Kathryn Pirovano of North Canton; five grandchildren, Tracy Allen and Trevor Allen of South Carolina, Christa (David) Gulley and Scott Close of South Carolina, Anthony Pirovano of North Canton; three great grandchildren, Megan, Nicolas and Erin Gulley of South Carolina; brother, James Beuter of Pittsburgh, PA. She loved playing cards, Bridge with the ladies and Euchre with the neighbors. Mary was a delightful, funny, stern and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her children and all of the grandchildren were the loves of her life. She was the guiding light of the family and will be deeply missed. The family thanks the wonderful people at St. Luke's who took such good care of her. A memorial service will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. in Zion United Church of Christ with Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
