Mary Catherine "MC" Griffin, 70, of North Canton, passed away on January 27, 2025 after a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 23,1954 to the late Frank and Pauline (Bozdog) LaBarba.

Mary was a 1972 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and furthered her education at Mercy School of Nursing where she graduated in 1975.

She pursued her career as a nurse with Timken Mercy Medical Center where she worked for 28 years. After working in the hospital, Mary worked for Bethany Nursing Home and retired after 16 years of dedicated service.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 49 years, David C. Griffin; her beloved daughter Jennifer Anne (Blake) Dechant; her grandson Connor who was the light of her life; and brother Joseph LaBarbara.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to Bethany Nursing Home for the Bethany Nurse Scholarship Fund, 626 34th St NW, Canton, OH 44709.
