Mary Jo Boettler, age 86 of North Canton passed away Saturday November 22, 2025, in Aultman Hospital. She was born March 8, 1939, in Canton to Harold and Freida (Hartline) Taylor. Mary Jo graduated from Washington High School and subsequently served in the mission field for the E & R Church. After finishing cosmetology school, she worked at Brewer Beauty Supply and was a Revlon Hair Model. She worked for many years in food service for North Canton Schools until her retirement.
Mrs. Boettler was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and founded the Hoover B.S.A. Club Day Camp, Seven Ranger Camps naming Cub Area, Akela and received the Silver Beaver Award. She had been a member of Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton and was a current member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bob in 2018. She is survived by sons, Robert III (Mary), Scott (Angie), James (Gia); grandchildren, Michael (Delanie), Matthew, Nicholas, Jack, Grace, Ryan and Malalie; great grandchildren, Lyric & Brooks; brother, Tim Taylor and was preceded in death by a brother Harold Taylor.
Calling hours will be Friday November 28 10-11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Carl Pace officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Cerebral Palsy 1200 Resource Dr, Brooklyn Heights, OH 44131 or Cystic Fibrosis 425 Literary Dr. Suite 100, Cleveland, OH 44113 honoring five cousins who passed away with Cystic Fibrosis.
