Mary Ruth Baswell, age 96 of Hartville passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Altercare of Hartville. She was born in Noxapater, Mississippi to Raymond Wick and Flossie (Alflonza) Roach. She moved to the Hartville area in 1947 following her marriage to her husband James Fritz Baswell who passed away in 2008. Mary worked at F.E. Schumacher until her retirement.

Mary and her late husband returned to Mississippi in 2007 and had a wonderful time celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Patty Baswell, Larry and Jan Baswell; grandchildren, Mariah (Neal) Veverka, Ryan (Allison) Baswell, Beth Schick, Amy (Jason) Wittensoldner; great grandchildren, Andrew and Addie Wittensoldner and Eleanor Baswell; sister, Rebecca Tanksley and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning 10-11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville followed by a private family Burial at Marlboro Cemetery with Rev D. Gary Schreckengost officiating. Memorial donations are requested to Marlboro or Hartville Fire Departments.
