Mary L. Arnold, age 86, of Canton, passed away Wednesday May 11, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Marietta, Ohio on May 20, 1929 to Rollie and Thelma (Burfield) Stille and graduated from McKinley High School in 1947.

She was a former member of First United Church of Christ. Mary was a member of Congress Lake Club, was a past member of Congress Lake Garden Club and Oakwood Country Club. She played golf and bowled with the ladies at Congress Lake Club and Oakwood Country Club. She was also a member of PEO Chapter A-C. She especially loved traveling, spending time at the Flying E Ranch in Arizona with her husband and celebrating birthdays and special events with her children and grandchildren

Preceded in death by her husband John C. Arnold in 1993; she is survived by her children Lynda and Doug Prather of Marlboro, Elizabeth and Don Cooper of Tallmadge, Nancy and Bill Byrd of Akron, Joan Arnold of Canton, and John and Debbie Arnold of North Canton; grandchildren Megan (Pat) Terry, Kristen Prather, Michael (fiancée Rita Medina) Prather, Bonnie (Matthew) Riffe, Sarah, Katherine and Julie Byrd, John (Dr. Christine) Arnold, Rachel Arnold; and sister Marlene Adkins of Canton.

Calling hours are Sunday 2-5 PM at Arnold Funeral Home. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. C. David Morgan officiating.
