Rev. Marvin Thomas, age 85, of Uniontown, has finished his journey here and went to his glorious reward on Thursday June 25, 2009 at Aultman Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Acme, WV on December 30, 1923 to the late Marvin Albert "Pete" and Ollie Mae (Stover) Thomas. He was a WW II Navy Veteran. Early in their marriage Marvin and Violet were called to an old fashion altar, which led to Marvin's lifelong commitment to the Lord. One highlight of his life was receiving a letter from President Eisenhower for his organizing of reuniting orphan children with a family in England and for his work with Veterans. Rev.
