Marvin Blair Fisher, age 95, of the Cincinnati area and formerly of Canton, passed away Friday night May 3, 2013. He was born on May 28, 1917 and graduated from McKinley High School and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance. He earned his private pilot's license and then commercial flying license. Blair enlisted in the Navy a month and a half prior to Pearl Harbor. He was a Lieutenant Commander as a pilot during WW II who served for over 6 years, last as a test pilot in San Diego, California. While in the service, he earned numerous ribbons, was awarded two bronze stars as well as the Victory Medal. He had retired from Dow Corning after over 30 years of service. During retirement, he spent time buying and selling antiques and owning and training race horses. Preceded in death by his father George Fisher; mother Fannie Fisher- Newman; and sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Allen Caghan. He is survived by his nieces Susan Caghan and Linda Crescimano; nephews Jeffrey (Penny) Caghan and Paul Caghan; great nieces and nephews David and Laura Crescimano and Lauren and Alex Caghan; cousin Gene Fisher; and other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be Monday 2:00 pm in North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Jon Adland officiating. Military honors are also scheduled. Arnold 330-456-7291
