Dr. Martin A. (Mich'l) Bertman, age 74, of North Canton, passed away on Monday July 2, 2012. He was born November 26, 1937 in Manhattan, New York to the late Chaim and Goldie (Mandel) Bertman. As a professor of Philosophy, he taught and lectured in New York, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Israel and Italy. He was an accomplished artist and painter. Survived by his wife of 20 years Marilena; daughter and son-in-law Abra and Gys Wuite of Amsterdam; son Chaim Bertman of San Francisco; grandson Max; brother Dr. Stanley and Karen Bertman of North Canton; step-children, nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Tuesday (TODAY) 2 PM at Arnold Funeral Home with Rabbi A.J. Kushner officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
