Martha D. Notter, age 88, of Canton, passed away Saturday evening in the McKinley Life Care Center. She was born in North Canton to the late William and Louise (Keller) Miller and was a 1940 graduate of Timken High School. Martha worked at the naval base in Norfolk, Virginia and for the Hoover Company during WWII. She was an Avon Lady and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross stitching, gardening and traveling with her husband. Martha also enjoyed the company of her cats and dogs. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings; Mildred, Marie, Irene, JoAnn, William and Gene. Martha is survived by her husband of 67 years; Raymond of the residence, daughter; Shirley (Craig) Stambaugh of Virginia, son; Randall A. Notter of Canton and 2 granddaughters; Jennifer Stambaugh of Wadsworth and Jessica Stambaugh of NY City. Funeral service will be Thursday; 1 p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW. Interment will be private in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of McKinley Health Care for their care of Martha.
