Martha M. Kehl, age 93, of Canton, passed away Tuesday morning. Born in St. Mary's, WV, to the late John and Emilie (Mahovsky) Zika, she was retired from Republic Steel, where she was a nurse. Martha was an Aultman graduate and served her country in WW2 as an army nurse. Both Martha and her late husband Larry were members of First Friends Church. Martha and Larry met and married at Christ Presbyterian Church and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Martha loved her Lord, her family, nursing, reading, music, needlework, crossword puzzles, and Skipbo. She is survived by 2 daughters, Laurel E. Kehl, of Willow Grove, PA, and Emilie (Michael) Zabel of Youngstown; 3 sons, David of Columbus, Jonathan of Driggs, ID, and Douglas of Curlew, WA; grandchildren Joshua (Dee) Zabel, Adam Kehl, Benjamin (Andrea) Zabel, Valerie Zabel Hall, Cassidy Kehl, and Daniel (Elisa) Zabel. Martha's great-grandchildren are Jackson, Emilie, Molly, Isaiah, Paityn, Annabelle, Evangeline, Asher, Andrew, Judah, Micah, and Caden. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 1st at 4:00 pm in the chapel of the Canton Christian Home. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the activity room.
