Martha Beachy, age 83, of North Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 10, 2011 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1928 in Burton, Ohio to the late Henry and Maryann (Miller) Shrock. This April 12th she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage to Jonathan (Jay) Beachy. She was a longtime member of the Hartville Mennonite Church. She worked for many years as a cook for Hartville Kitchen and as a clerk at Hartville Hardware. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose compassion and love touched all who knew her. She is gone from our sight but we will carry her in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, two daughters and son-in-law, Gayle and Don Yoder of Uniontown, Sandra Beachy of North Canton; three grandchildren Laura Yoder, Donald (Heather) Yoder and Jonathan (Meagan) Yoder; four great-grandchildren Sophia Yoder, Wyatt, Eva and Caleb Yoder; siblings Mrs. Howard (Sarah) Miller, Edna (William) Wittmer, Melvin (Mary Ellen) Shrock, Mrs. Vernon (Erma) Beachy, Noah (Dorothy) Shrock, Henry (Dorothy) Shrock and Ervin Helmuth; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by sisters Mrs. Raymond (Emma) Beachy and Mary Helmuth and brother Raymond Shrock. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Hartville Mennonite Church and an hour prior to services Thursday 10-11 Am. Funeral services are Thursday 11 AM in the church with Pastor Ross Miller and Pastor Henry Shrock officiating. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
