Marjorie M. Woodside (nee Garthwaite) age 87 of North Canton died Thursday August 7, 2008 following a long period of disability. A graduate of McKinley High School in 1939, she attended Kent State University. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton where she was an Honorary Lifetime Member of The Altar Guild. She served eleven years as a Gray Lady at Aultman Hospital. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Golf and was a member of Oakwood Country Club. A former employee of The Hoover Company, she also worked at The North Canton Public Library and The Jewelry Box in North Canton. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Blair C. Woodside, Jr. of the home, four sons and daughters-in-law, Blair III and Annette of Bethesda, Maryland, Bruce W. of North Hollywood, California, Brian L. and Patricia of Copley, Ohio, and Brent of North Canton, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mary Garthwaite. Friends may call Sunday 4-6 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Canton and one hour prior to services 10-11 AM Monday in the Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the church with Pastor Mark Sherwindt officiating. Final resting place is North Canton Cemetery.
