Marjorie Myers, age 90, of Lakeland, Florida and formerly of Canton, passed away Friday April 23, 2010. She was born in Ulster, Pennsylvania on October 12, 1919 to the late Sumner and Mabel (Gillette) Vought. She was a longtime member of The Evangelical Friends Church. She was a graduate of Cleveland Bible College where she met Russell Myers, who she later married on June 13, 1940. She was an elementary school teacher and also a pastor's wife. Her late husband Pastor Irvin Russell Myers was past superintendent of Evangelical Friends Church- Eastern Region and passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by a sister Ester Musser and brother Carl Vought. She is survived by nieces and nephews including Duane and Andrea Musser, Marilyn and Larry Moyer; great-nieces and nephews; and friends including the Ben and Karol Agler family. Calling hours are Thursday 1-2 PM and funeral services are 2 PM at Damascus Friends Church, 28857 Walnut St, Damascus, OH with Pastor Dr. John P. Williams Jr. and Pastor John Ryser officiating.
