Marjorie E. Kirk "Gigi", age 104 of Canton and formerly of Franklin, PA, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday October 20, 2010. She was born in Franklin on December 21, 1905 to the late George and Musetta Cramer and attended Franklin Schools. She graduated from Beauty School in Sharon then married Fred Kirk in October 1927. In Franklin, Marjorie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Women's Club and the Historical Society. She was a hostess at the Franklin Club. With her family she enjoyed traveling and watching football and tennis. She also enjoyed good music and reading. Preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1973 and son Robert in 2000, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Dr. Bruce Robeson, granddaughter and spouse Dr. Kimberly and Dr. Gerald Kron, grandson and spouse Dr. Kirk and Dr. Meredith Robeson, great-grandchildren Kyle and Katie Kron and Nolan and Holden Robeson all of Canton, and a host of other relatives and friends including those on the Kirk side. A memorial service will be Saturday October 30th 11 AM in the First United Methodist Church in Franklin. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to services 10:30- 11:00 AM. Final resting place is Hadley Cemetery in Hadley, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 1102 Liberty St., Franklin, PA 16323.
