Marjorie Olive Blazer King Marjorie O. Blazer King, age 98, of Canton, Ohio, died Saturday evening March 14, 2009 in St. Luke Lutheran Community of natural causes. Born in Crestline, Ohio, she resided in Canton since 1919. Ten years later she graduated from McKinley High School; in 1932 married Charles "Mack" King who passed on in 1972. Ms. King worked at the Bell Telephone Company, at King's Confectionary with her husband and retired from Lawson's. She was a member to the Trinity Lutheran Church, had participated in Village Towers Building activities, as well as other community and church activities. Marjorie King is survived by her sons: Charles M King, Jr. of North Carolina and Robert L King, of Florida, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a brother, Earl R. Blazer of Canton. Her friends and relatives knew her as independent and self-reliant, with a giving heart yet expecting little in return. They also recognized her love of reading, traveling, visiting with friends, as well as really enjoying chocolate and Heggy's cheeseburgers. Gravesite services will be held at North Lawn Cemetery, 4927 Cleveland Ave NW in Canton, at 11 am. On Monday, March 23, with Rev. Rusty Wills officiating. A reception and lunch will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 415 West Tuscarawas Street, Canton, OH 44702.
