Marion A. Swift, age 75, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Denville, New Jersey, went to join our Savior and her loved ones who where waiting for her in Heaven on Thursday morning November 9, 2006. Marion was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 24, 1931 to the late Hans and Anna (Olesen) Andreasen. She attended the Zion Lutheran Church in Staten Island and graduated from Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, New York. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Swift, sister Sue Nybro, sons Robert Swift, Jr. and Lawrence Swift; she is survived by son and daughter-in-law Scott and Gail Swift of Paris, Ohio; daughter Wendy Kauffman of Austin, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Emily and Robert Freeman, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Norma Andreasen of Long Island; brother and sister-in-law, Hans and Paula Andreasen of Staten Island; grandsons, Shawn Swift and his wife Brianna of Canton, Ohio; Justin Kauffman of Austin, Texas; and granddaughter Stephanie of Landing, New Jersey; her special great-grandchildren who she loved to give hugs and kisses, Kyla Swift and Shawn Swift Jr.; along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all those who cared for Marion at the Landing of Canton, Ohio. Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton, Ohio. Funeral arrangements in New York are as follows: calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home, Staten Island, New York. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Staten Island, New York. Marion will be laid to rest at the Moravian Cemetery.
