Obituary

Marilyn Ann Zielasko age 88, of North Canton, passed away on March 9, 2013. She was born Marilyn Ann Jenkins in Canton on October 14, 1924 to the late Edith and Artemus Jenkins. A graduate of Lehman High School, Marilyn devoted her life to raising her family. In the 1980's Marilyn was the proud owner of Flaxen's and Fancy, a local shop in North Canton. She loved running her business and meeting all of her customers. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, a devoted volunteer for the North Canton Public Library and the American Red Cross for 26 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Judge Gus W. Zielasko; her brother, Wendell Jenkins and her sister, Dorothy Swaim. Her survivors include her daughters, Becky (Jeff) Mulchaey, Tracy (Bill) Curran, both of North Canton and stepson, Doug (Liza) Zielasko of Mission Viejo, California. She also leaves her grandchildren, Erin and Andrew Mulcahey, Joseph and Thomas Curran, Seth, Lucas, Kyle and Adrienne Zielasko. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 12-1:00 p.m. Private burial will be in North Canton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Red Cross, 408 9th St. Canton, Ohio 44707 The family would like to thank Windsor Medical Center and Answer Care for their exceptional care.
