Marian B. Rodgers, age 96, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 24th 2022 at St Joseph Senior Care in Louisville, Ohio. Marian was born in Holmes County Ohio in 1926, to Godfrey and Bessie Barthlome. She married Jesse Harter in 1949. Together, they raised a family of 5 on their farm near Augusta, Ohio, and were married for 46 years, until Jessie's death. Marian was fortunate to later meet, and marry Leroy Rodgers, and they had many happy years together until his death. Marian enjoyed listening to gospel and classical music. She liked to cook, bake, and work in her flower garden. She loved the wired haired terriers that she had throughout her life. Above all, Marian was a devoted wife and Mother, and lifelong Christian. Marian was a member of Mt Zion church near Augusta, Ohio for many years, and later Greenwood Christian church in Canton, after she moved there. Marian is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Jesse Harter, 2nd husband, Leroy Rodgers, daughter Bobbie Mounce, and step son David Harter. Marian is survived by her sons Robert Harter (Cheryl), Clark Harter (Sheila), step daughter Marie Tullys, and numerous grandchildren/ great grandchildren. No services will be held at this time. Celebration of life planned for a future date.
