Margaret S. Sponseller, age 83, of North Canton died Sunday evening in St. Luke Lutheran Community. Born in Alliance, OH to the late Frank and Blanche (Whitlaw) Shaw she had been a resident here since 1951. Margaret was a retired school teacher having taught first grade at Orchard Hill School. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, PEO Sisterhood and had been a volunteer at St. Luke Lutheran Community. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Tomkin and Jeannete Hay. Survivors include her husband of 62 years: John R. Sponseller. Three daughters: Mrs. Roger (Beth) Kolp of Hyde Park, NY. Mrs. Tim (Kay) Ringer of Guysville, OH and Mrs. Rick (Nan) Davis of N. Canton. Seven grandchildren: Ben & Liz Kolp, Carrie, Becca & Colin Davis, Brady & Darcy Ringer. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Faith United Methodist Church with Rev Joseph T. Burkhardt officiating. A private interment will be in Fairmount Memorial park in Alliance. The family will receive friends following the service in the church on Thursday.
