Margaret "Peggy" Gran, age 99 of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday August 18, 2018 at Homestead at Gentlebrook in Hartville. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on October 13, 1918 to John and Maria Blasco. Peggy met George Gran while attending college and they married December 7, 1941. She had been a nurse at Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh and Akron City Hospital. When the family made their home in Youngstown, they built and operated a family owned Theater. In Akron, they owned and operated bowling alleys. Moving to Hartville, they purchased and operated Seven Hills Country Club. Peggy was a member of The Chapel in Marlboro.
Preceded in death by her husband George Gran; and 4 sisters Marie, Kate, Helen and Martha. She is survived by her sons Cary Gran, Dick (Debra) Gran; grandchildren Christopher (Tiffany) Gran, Allicen (Kenneth) Grose, Joel Gran; great-grandchildren Zade and Harlow Gran, Addison and Holden Grose; and other friends and relatives.
A private graveside service will be held Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentlebrook.
