Margaret M. Christian, age 95, of Canton, has gone to be with the Lord Friday February 5, 2010 at the Canton Regency. She was born August 19, 1914 in Canton, Ohio to the late William C. and Martha E. (Gross) Doerr and graduated from McKinley High School in 1932. Margaret was a member of the Church of the Covenant, member of Delta Chapter #539, Order of the Eastern Star, and member at large of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. When wintering in Florida, she attended Highland Presbyterian Church in Largo, FL and there was a member of the Jolly Sixties. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Christian in 1999 and her sister Virginia A. Miller. She is survived by her nephew Leland W. and Heather Miller and their children Michael, Jesse and Max all of Canton; cousins George Gross, Scott and Kathy Gross and Leigh Ann Gross all of North Canton; step-son and daughter-in-law Roger and Elfi Christian of CA; step-grandchildren Hans-Peter and Bridget Christian, Susan and Jim Maser, and Kristina and Joe Kelly all of CA; and step-great-grandchildren Myles and Carly Christian, Sabine and Christian Maser; and other relatives and friends including special friend Betty Odar. Funeral services will be Tuesday 5 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home with Dr. Rev. William Watt officiating. Friends may call Tuesday one hour prior to services (4-5 PM) in the funeral home.
