Mary E. "Babe" Merlino, age 84, of Canton died Wednesday morning in Mercy Medical Center after an extended illness. A 1940 graduate of McKinley High School she was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Mary (Barrett) Scott as well as her sister Eileen Tuersley. Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Leonard A. Merlino of the residence. Son: Tim Keagy of Illinois. Numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be on Friday 10:30 A.M in the Mausoleum of Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Scott Tuersley officiating.
