Marc David Russell, age 50, of Massillon, passed away Sunday morning in Affinity Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Canton to Robert and Sydna (Hennessy) Russell, Marc attended Peak Workshop, was a member of the Special Olympics, competing in swimming, track and field. Marc was a kind gentle man who enjoyed bowling, dancing, animals and a great jokester he enjoyed attending Glen Oak football games with his late father. Preceded in death by his father; Robert, he is survived by his mother Sydna, brother; Robert (Laura) Russell of Greentown, sister; Michelle (Michael) Conkle of Massillon, nieces and nephews; Amanda and Jonathan Conkle, Tami (Matt) Roberts, Great-niece; Addison, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family at Midwest Community Services. Funeral service will be Thursday, 11:00 AM in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Lynn Bozich Shetzer officiating. Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery.
