Manass E. Miller, age 84, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 3, 2010 suddenly. He was born in Greentown, OH on September 23, 1925 to the late Eli and Maggie (Troyer) Miller. He served in the US Army during WW II, and while stationed in Maryland met and then married Miriam "Fay" Boyd. He started working for F.E. Schumacher in 1951 and retired in 2004. Manass was a member of Hartville Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife Fay of 63 years; children Thomas (Natalie) Miller of Clinton, Wade (Glenda) Miller of Carrollton, Sandra (David) Hoffman of Middlebranch, Russell (Emily) Miller of Canton; 11 grandchildren Jon Miller, Courtney Miller, Charity (Scott) Conrad, David (Julie) Neely, Maria (David) Weirich, Leonard (Kerri) Miller, Jim (Merry) Grimm, Carrie Hoffman, Kenneth Miller, James Miller and Brandy Thompson; and 16 great-grandchildren; siblings Jacob Miller, Fannie Geiser, Henry Miller, Betty Schmucker, Dorothy Carmer, Barbara Mast, Emma Miller, Mary Ellen (John) Mullett, Sarah (Albert) Wagler; siblings-in-law Melvin (Ilene) Boyd, James (Rosemary) Boyd, Arthur (Regina) Boyd, Marie Banister; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by infant daughter Darlene Lynn; grandson Jason Miller; 3 siblings Catherine, Elizabeth, and Melvin. Calling hours are Thursday 5-8 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Friday 11 AM at Hartville Mennonite Church with Pastor Ross Miller officiating and with calling hours 10-11 AM. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
