Malinda Lina Hershberger Malinda Lina Hershberger, Sarasota, FL, born September 9, 1917, to Mose Schrock and Mary Magdaline in Geauga County, Ohio, died July 17, 2015, age 97, in Sarasota, FL. She was married to Henry Yoder who preceded her in death April 6, 1977. She married Paul Hershberger on November 24, 1983. Paul preceded her in death July 22, 2014; they were married 30 years. She moved to Sarasota in 1977 from Dalton, Ohio and was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Sarasota. She resided in Sunnyside Manor and then in Sunnyside Nursing Home for the past 7 years. Malinda is survived by a daughter, Carol (Milton) Yoder, Sarasota, and four sons: Maynard (Betty) Yoder, Sarasota, Norman Yoder, Hartville, OH, Larry (Betty) Yoder, Hartville, OH, Mervin Yoder, Goshen, IN, six stepsons, Edwin (Marge) Hershberger, John (Sally) Hershberger, Paul (Ruth) Hershberger, Marvin (Paulette) Hershberger, and Nelson (Sue) Hershberger, all of Kalona, and David (Miriam) Hershberger of Sarasota, Florida, two stepdaughters, Edna Hershberger of Sarasota, Florida, and Irma (Mark) Miller of Kalona, Iowa. She has 16 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren and 41 step-great grandchildren. 2 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren preceded her in death. Malinda had many hobbies - she enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting and even did beautiful landscape paintings after moving into Sunnyside Manor. She played in the bell choir and loved playing card games. In her younger years she enjoyed playing on the floor with her grandchildren. Malinda looked forward to "moving" to her heavenly home and often talked about going. We rejoice with her that she has arrived.
