Magdalena Denlinger, age 81, of Hartville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 11, 2013. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 26, 1932 to the late Rebecca (Lapp) and Jerome Overholt. She volunteered at Fox Street Mission in New York City where she met Earl Denlinger. After their marriage on July 31, 1955, together they served five years in the work there. Eventually they made a home in Hartville where they raised 8 children. She was a faithful member of Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. She blessed many with her gift of hospitality. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Earl; children Marcia (David) Miller of Missouri, Mrs. Harold (Rose) Miller of Hartville, Marjorie Denlinger of Hartville, Steven (Laura) Denlinger of Washington, David (Jan) Denlinger of North Canton, Tim (Lori) Denlinger of Pennsylvania, Richard (Tina) Denlinger of Hartville, Heidi (Adin) Stoltzfoos of Pennsylvania; 34 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Ruth Detweiler, Francis (Elma) Overholt, Iva (Gordon) Miller, Edward (Leona) Overholt, Steve (Carolyn) Overholt, Will (LaVonne) Overholt, James (Emma) Overholt and Mrs. Andrew (Ruth Mae) Overholt. Preceded in death by siblings Loveda Mullet, Andrew Overholt, Lydia Ann Smart and Linda Bailey. Calling hours are Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Saturday 10 AM in the church with Eugene Sommers officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
