Maemarie McGinnis, age 84, passed away at St. Joseph's Care Center in Louisville, Ohio on Monday, June 2, 2014. Mame, as all knew her, was born on September 28, 1929 in Bowerston, Ohio to the late Charles and Wilma Albaugh. She was a 1947 graduate of Scio High School and resided in Scio with her beloved, late husband, Joe, until 1973. She was an employee of the Scio Pottery and owner and proprietor of Southside Grocery. She was also active in the community, the Scio Methodist Church and Girl Scouts. When she and Joe moved to Louisville, Ohio, she worked at Robert Hall Clothing where she continued to share her smile, talents and compassion with everyone she met. Mame was the essence of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Joseph A. McGinnis (Nancy) of Louisville, Ohio, daughter, Belinda Manard (Bob) of Canton, Ohio, granddaughters, Kristy Foster, (Jeramie) of Wooster, Ohio, Shelby Guttu (Bob) of Mentor, Ohio and Makenzie Manard (fiancé, Cole Yarborough) of Clayton, NC, great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jillian, Brody and Cole, sisters Nancy Chovan (Milan) of Canton, Ohio, Vivian Thompson of Canton, Ohio and brother, Charles Albaugh of Canton, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside committal service will take place on Saturday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m. at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
