Madge I. Mitchell, age 87, of Canton passed away Tuesday afternoon in her residence after a short illness. Preceded in death by her husbands Theodore Maddox and Auttis Mitchell. Survivors include her children Patricia Heckathorn of Ottumwa, Iowa, Richard (Helen) Maddox of Paris, Ohio, Barbara (Ernest) Kasler, William (Sandra) Maddox, Nancy (Emlen) Dickey, Michelle Elkins, and Karen (George) Rowe all of Canton. 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be Friday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Pastor Jon Walden officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
