IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille P.
Tetzel
August 30, 1912 – May 26, 2012
Lucille P. Tetzel, born to Fred and Gartha Price on August 30, 1912 in Tacoma, Washington, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 in her one hundredth year. She was the first of seven children. Lucille graduated from Akron Central High School and attended Business College in Akron, Ohio. She worked in her cousin's, Dean May, law office until her marriage. Lucille had simple but elegant good taste in everything and was a true lady. She was an exceptional homemaker and mother. Her young life was spent in Akron. Chicago was home during the war years. While her five brothers served during WW II she was volunteering for the Red Cross, making bandages for our wounded troops overseas. Post war she and her family moved back to Akron where she worked for Motor Cargo Trucking. The countryside beckoned and Bath Township became home. Other places in Ohio, New Matamoras and Bolivar became home until moving to Plain Township ten years ago. During her lifetime she enjoyed reading, needlework, traveling with her family and especially family gatherings. Her Daughters of the American Revolution membership was something she was very proud of. Preceding her in death were husbands, Robert Elliott and Michael Tetzel. She leaves a daughter Nancy Gladieux and husband Ed of North Canton. Ed eagerly took her to the beauty shop every week and was like a son to her; a son Thomas Tetzel of Gainesville, Florida; grandchildren Jonathan Gladieux of Plain Township who took special care of her and Jennifer Gladieux of Alexandria, Virginia; one brother James Price of Akron, Ohio; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at East Akron Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. conducted by a special friend. Donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 420 Market Ave. S., Canton, Ohio 44702 or to the Canton Chapter DAR, 5475 Tyro St. NE, Canton, Ohio 44721.
