IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille R.
"Teal" Archer
January 7, 1932 – April 27, 2018
Lucille R. ("Teal") Archer, of Hartville, entered the joy of her Lord's presence on April 27, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born January 7, 1932 to James and Imelda (Riel) Gilbane in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She moved to Chicago in 1951 to study chiropractic at National University of Health Sciences, where she met her husband, Jerry C. Archer, while sharing a microscope in class. The couple married in 1952 and graduated together in 1954, both receiving doctorates of chiropractic. Teal practiced chiropractic with Jerry and his father, Dr. A.Y. Archer, for a short time before retiring to pursue an equally fulfilling career in homemaking and raising her children.
Teal was well known for her devotion to her family and her God, her intelligence and organization, her love for animals, and her kind and genuine smile that she freely offered, even in her declining years. A member of the Chapel in Marlboro for many years, Teal lived as a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Jerry C. Archer, and her brother, Dr. Brendan Gilbane. She is survived by her son Todd W. Archer of Massillon, daughter and son-in-law Amy and Bob Beasley of Hartville, sister Muriel (Jerry) Brule of Pawtucket RI, sister-in-law Virginia Gilbane of Wrentham, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Windsor Medical Center and Crossroads Hospice for their competent and compassionate care. A special thanks to Teal's dear friend Evelyn Johnson at Easterday's Flower & Gift Shop for bringing fragrance and beauty into Teal's last years.

"We do not want you…to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him." I Thess. 4:13-14.
