Louvenia Rahal, 96 passed away peacefully Thursday morning January 5, 2012 in her home. She was born in Whitewright, Texas on June 4, 1915 to the late Robert W. and Willie Mae (Squires) Gallaher. Moving to Canton in 1946, she had taught school at Cherry Elementary and Lehman High School here in Canton. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Rachel Circle, and College Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Rahal, and her brothers Thomas and Robert Gallaher. She is survived by a nephew, Jim Gallaher of Tyler, Texas; a cousin Max Arterberry of Savoy, Texas; a surrogate family, Mike and Nancy Conley of Canton and their family, and many friends. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Arnold's Funeral Home. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery. Memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel at St. Luke's Lutheran Community, 220 Applegrove NE, North Canton, 44720 with Dr. Nancy Conley and Rev. Wendy L. Bausman officiating.
