Nusbaum, longtime Canton resident, passed peacefully on November 28th.   Louise was born on October 18,1925, in Pittsburgh, PA.  She spent her formative years in Akron, Ohio, graduating from West High School in 1943.  She graduated from The Ohio State in 1947 and then did post graduate work at Columbia University.  In April of 1948, Louise married the love of her life I. William (Bill) Nusbaum and moved to Canton where her husband owned Nusbaum Jewelry.  Louise began her teaching career in Plain Local Schools where she taught at Glenwood High School and Taft Jr High until retiring from a 30-year career in 1988.

Louise was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was an avid traveler visiting six continents and dozens of countries.  She traveled as far as Asia in her mid-nineties and, until the end of her life, had an incredible appetite for adventure and discovery.

Louise was an avid reader and deeply engaged in civil rights and politics.  She is survived by her daughter Ann Mecklenburger and son-in-law Rabbi Ralph Mecklenburger of Fort Worth, Texas; and her son Howard Nusbaum and son-in-law Charles Feeser of Washington DC; granddaughter Elissa Imran (Shafi) and grandson Alan Mecklenburger (Rachel) as well as four beautiful great grandchildren, Leah and Will Imran and Levi and Hannah Mecklenburger.
