Obituary

Louis G. Dickens, 74 of Hartville, Ohio left his earthly home on Saturday morning January 1,2011 after a long illness. He was born March 12, 1936 in Van, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Ford and Mabel (Scott) Dickens. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Cathy (Freddie) Collins of WV; son David (Nancy) Dickens of FL; grandchildren Nichole (Nathan) Kirby, James and Kindall Collins, Bethany, Brianna, Andrew and William Dickens; siblings Martha (James) Wade of NC, Janet (Bob) Core of FL, Charles (Ashley) Dickens of IL; and other relatives and friends. Louie served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Lamson and Session and B.F. Goodrich companies in production and sales. He enjoyed golf and fishing and was involved for many years with the Hartville Youth Baseball Association. Graveside services were held Tuesday near Charleston, WV. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 8th, at The United Methodist Church of Uniontown, Ohio beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Nolte officiating. Louie's greatest passion in life was reaching out to others. The family requests that memorials be sent to The United Methodist Church of Uniontown,13370 Cleveland Ave.,NW, to be used for Methodist National and Worldwide Missions.
