Loreen Ruth Libster (nee Worshil), 88, passed away January 27, 2021 in Canton. Beloved wife is survived by her partner in life for 58 years, Neal ; devoted mother of Mitchell (Cindy) Libster, Steve (Anne) Barnett, Brenda (Lloyd) Miller, Larry (Becky) Libster, Richard (Terri) Barnett, Catherine (James) Holloway; cherished grandmother of Melanie (Dan) Barnett Marthaler, Nathan (Marlena) Barnett, Brian (Maria) Barnett, Julia Libster Adkins, Kevin (Maranda) Libster, Joseph (Becky) Libster, Ella (Mark) Muntean, Rebecca (Hal) Barnett Levy, Alison (Matan) Barnett Gutwaks, Shimra (Jonny) Barnett Bernstein, Jori Holloway, Jason(Julie) Potts, Greg (Jeanette) Potts. Great Grandmother of 22 special little ones, Loving sister to JoAnn (Tom) Hornsten and Dave (Beverly) Worshil  plus many nieces and nephews. Loreen, better known as Snookie, was born to Esenta and Nathan Worshil in Canton on October 12, 1932. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marcy Libster Stoller. After graduating from McKinley High School and in 1950 voted "cutie co-ed" in Stark Jewish News, she attended the University of Michigan. Loreen worked as a deputy clerk in the Canton Municipal Court and found her passion for business in real estate as a Broker for Libster Real Estate with her husband, Neal. The Stark County Real Estate Brokers Association and the Ohio Apartment Owners Association. Loreen was awarded First Place by the Women's League for Conservative Judaism in their National Genealogy Family Tree Competition. She created and designed a family tree that traced the family roots back to 1800's.  A true source of her commitment to family. It was an inside joke that she was related to the entire City of Canton. Loreen was known to family and friends as an active runner. She placed in many races held by the Canton Jewish Center.  Neal and Lori knitted sweaters, scarves and afghans together for family members. They have the same knitting tension which is rare between two people. She volunteered her whole life with the Girl Scouts, Housing Committee for Canton Human Relations Council to insure fair housing for minority groups. A life long member of Hadassah and Temple Israel, Agudas Achim with a dedication to Temple Israel Sisterhood. Private Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at North Lawn.  Due to the pandemic, the services will be family only and there will be no shiva visitation.
