Lois May Moorhead of Canton, Ohio died September 6, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on July 26, 1934, in Grove City, Ohio. She graduated from Grove City High School and Malone College in Canton, Ohio. After college, Lois began teaching at the Canton Chapter of the United Cerebral Palsy Association, taught briefly in Canton City Schools, and for many years at the Bolivar Elementary School in Bolivar, Ohio. With husband, Paul, she was part of the group of families that established Greenwood Christian Church in Canton and later was active at Perry Christian Church. Lois had a lifelong love of music and sang for many years with the Canton Symphony Chorus.
Lois is survived by daughter, Jacqueline Moorhead Chen, sons, Nelson Edward Moorhead and Robert Sheldon Moorhead, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Edward Sr. and May Noble, husband, Paul Blyss Moorhead, brother, Dr. Edward Noble Jr, and son, Charles Blyss Moorhead.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
