Lois Elaine Halley, age 74, of Canton, peacefully passed away on Easter Sunday March 31, 2013. She was born in Canton, Ohio on July 15, 1938 to the late Herman and Selma (Loeppke) Halley and graduated from Canton McKinley High School. She retired from American Electric Power Company following 40 years of service. Her life was dedicated to her commitment to First Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She dearly loved participating with long time friends as a member of the church choir. Her faith and commitment to the church makes her passing on Easter meaningful. Lois was full of goodness and always showed concern for others. She is survived by her siblings, Miriam Kohler of North Canton, Kenneth (Trudy) Halley of Denver, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Bruce Kohler, Jill Kohler, Christy (Michael) Baccala, Kathryn Halley, Kenneth (Amorette) Halley; great-nieces and nephews, Virginia Grant, James, Christina and Kate Baccala, Jordan and Jacob Halley-Gillach, Grace, Jack, Faith, Hope, Caroline and Cassandra Halley; and beloved friend Georgann Mozea. Calling hours are Thursday 10-11 AM at First Lutheran Church, 909 East Tuscarawas, Canton, Ohio 44707. Funeral services begin Thursday 11 AM at the church with Rev. Dr. Darla Kratzer officiating.
