Lloyd H. Monroe Sr., age 83, of Hartville passed away Thursday November 29, 2007 at Altercare of Hartville. He was born in Looneyville, WV on September 30, 1924 to the late Stephen and Malissa (Nidy) Monroe, served in the Army, married, started his family and then moved to Ohio in 1953. He retired in 1988 with 28 years of service from the Sonoco Paper Products of Munroe Falls. He attended Alliance Baptist Temple. Lloyd liked the outdoors, raising animals and watching NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Emma (Lipscomb); children, Bob (Bobbie Jean) Lipscomb of AK, Lloyd Jr. (Virginia) Monroe, Donald (Rhonda) Monroe, Linda (Derill) Ferguson all of Hartville; 12 grandchildren, Robin Lipscomb, Rhenna Hanna, Peggy (Ken) Shelton, Chris (Jo) Monroe, Season (Nicolas) Kerman, Chris Carroll, Jenny Carroll, Angela (Scott) Stertzbach, Shawn (Erica) Fergason, Michele Ferguson, Raquel Ferguson and Samantha Ferguson; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and an hour prior to services (Mon 10-11 AM). Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Randy Payne officiating. Final resting place is Marlboro Cemetery.
