Linda Sue Wagler

Nov 27, 1960 — Jul 31, 2026

Linda Sue Wagler, age 65, fell asleep peacefully and awoke in the arms of Jesus on July 31st, 2026. Born November 27th, 1960, Linda was the oldest daughter of Lewis and Mary Wagler and a lifelong resident of Hartville, Ohio.

Linda had special needs that limited her ability to perform everyday skills. Her devoted parents lovingly cared for her every need in their home for 45 years. With the aging of her parents, Linda moved into Hartville Meadows, a GentleBrook Home, where she became part of their family for 20 years.

Linda found contentment and joy in the simple things of life. Leafing through magazines, admiring babies, listening to the Lake High School Marching Band, and sharing a good belly laugh with her family were a few of her favorite past times.

Out of a mother’s enduring love and concern for Linda’s future, Mary often prayed that Linda would be called home peacefully before her, knowing that she would be safely resting in Jesus’s loving care. God answered her prayer in a very special way when He gently called Linda home on Mary’s 85th birthday. She holds this answer to her prayer as a precious gift from God.

Loved ones who have gone before Linda and joyously welcomed her into Glory were her father, Lewis Wagler; grandparents, Mose and Elizabeth Miller and Amos and Sarah Wagler; her niece, Kendra Wagler; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those remaining to cherish the memory of Linda in their hearts are her mother, Mary Wagler; her siblings, Betty Jean (Wayne) Troyer of Bristol, IN, Gerald (Joyce) Wagler of Hartville, OH, Marlon (Rhoda) Wagler of Washington, IN, Karen (Nelson) Hoover of Canon City, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who have enriched Linda’s life through the love and compassion shown to her. A special thank you to Roxanne, Jerry, and the entire staff at Hartville Meadows who went above and beyond in providing excellent care and guidance in meeting all of Linda’s needs. Linda was truly blessed by the tender, loving care she received.
