Linda June Sponhour Glick, (Formerly Linda Keller) age 73, of Canton, peacefully passed away Monday morning, March 17th surrounded by family in the Aultman Hospital Compassionate Care. She was born June 23, 1940 in Canton to the late Charles and Mary (Johnstone) Sponhour. A 1958 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, she attended Kentucky Christian University, Ohio State University and earned her associates degree from Kent State. She worked at the Hoover Company, BF Gooodrich, WHBC, Teledyne Rubber, and served as a nurse aid for hospice patients. She is most known for her work as a paper carrier for The Canton Repository for over 20 years. She wrote poetry, sang in choirs, performed in plays at The Players Guild, was a blood donor and loved to swim at the YMCA with her children and grandchildren. She had an unwavering faith in God throughout her hardships, losses, and challenges, and left her family with a legacy of faith, love, music, poetry and LAUGHTER. Linda is survived by husband Larry Glick, children; Carrie (Robert) Rubinow, Joy (Brian) Hall, and first husband Keith Keller, grandchildren Jeremy, Bethany, Hannah, Benjamin and Sarah Joy Rubinow. Brother Thomas (Sari) Sponhour, nephews Michael (Laura) and David (Christine) Sponhour, great nephews; Stephen and Matthew Sponhour. A memorial service celebrating the life of this special woman will be held at the Johnson Center for Worship 2600 Cleveland Ave. N.W. on Saturday, March 29th at 11:30am with Rev. Keith Keller officiating. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery. A light lunch will follow. All are welcome. Please sign the guest book.
