Linda May Parcell, age 90, of Canton, passed away early Thursday morning at Country Lawn Center in Navarre. Born in Shropshire, England to the late Thomas and Jane (Gwilt) Pugh, Linda was a nurse in England during WWII and always remembered it as a rewarding time in her life. It is there that she met and wed her late husband John, returning with him to the Canton area in 1946. She spent her entire career working as a nurse, serving as a surgical technician at Shadyside Hospital in North Canton and later retiring from the Barbara Maurer Day Care Center. Linda loved gardening, sewing, animals and the Perry Panthers where the family held season tickets for 30 years. Memberships included St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the 815th Aviation Engineers. In addition to her parents and husband John, Linda is also preceded in death by 4 brothers Arthur, Roland, Walter and Thomas. Survivors include son Daniel (Tamra) Parcell of Navarre and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue N.W. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Friends may call on Monday 5-7 P.M. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
