Lewis Laverne Wagler, age 80, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 17, 1935 in Hartville to the late Amos and Sarah (Zook) Wagler. A life-long resident of Hartville, he was a truck driver for 60 years and faithful minister of 42 years. Outside of the pulpit, his passion for his ministry was clearly exhibited with a listening ear for all. Currently, he enjoyed helping the Agape Bread Ministry. He is survived by his wife Mary Miller Wagler lived in matrimony 55 years, 1 month and 21 days. They have five children: Linda Sue of Hartville Meadows, Betty Jean (Wayne) Troyer, Gerald (Joyce) all of Hartville, Marlon (Rhoda) of Indiana, Karen Marie (Nelson) Hoover of Colorado; 14 grandchildren Brandon (Monica), Andrea, and Victoria Troyer, Clayton (Beth), Shaina, and Micaela Wagler, Austin, Kara, Aaron and Kinsey Wagler, Drew, Christian, Meredith and Ava Hoover; and 2 great-grandchildren Ezekiel and Hunter Troyer; siblings Jean Mast, Millie (Daniel) Troyer, Laura (Vernon) Coblentz, David Wagler, Willis (Martha) Wagler, Martha (Paul) Troyer, Rosanna Coblentz brothers-in-law, Jonas Coblentz, William Miller. Preceded in death by granddaughter Kendra Dawn Wagler; siblings Amanda Coblentz, Lela Ruth Miller. Calling hours are Thursday 5-8 PM and Friday 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM all at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church.
