Leslie Wyss Barnes of North Canton passed away on Wednesday morning July 9, 2014 in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 6, 1948 in Alliance to Ernest and Jane (Hoppes) Albright and graduated from West Branch High School in 1966. Leslie worked in the Human Resource Departments at Masco Tech and Republic Steel. She energetically raised her two daughters and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. Leslie's love of gardening and the Canton Garden Center suited her personality. She is survived by her husband William Barnes; daughters and son-in-law Kimberly (Wyss) and Theodore Bird of North Canton, Jodi Harshaw of North Canton; grandchildren Samuel, Jayne and Kate Bird, Tristan, Dylan and Brodie Harshaw; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Ken Boatright of Berlin Lake, OH; William's children Chris Barnes of Sarasota, FL, Jason (Stacey) Barnes and kids Zach, Andrew and Kaleb of Jackson Township. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Albright. The family will receive friends Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton.
