Leonard Kerns, age 87, of Dover, formerly of Canton. He was born in Parsons, WV to the late Enos and Peachie Kerns. Leonard served in the National Guard and was employed as a chef for Menches Brothers in Massillon. He was an extremely nice and caring man and will be missed by many friends and co workers. In addition to his parents Leonard was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Troy Kerns; sisters, Delphi Kelchner, Effie Kerns, Marvea Kerns and Naomi Ramsey. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Crystle) Kerns of Delaware; niece, Joyce Hanna of Warren; many great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
