IF GOD IS FOR ME, WHO CAN BE AGAINST ME? Lawrence "Shorty" Young, age 77 of Hartville, passed away Sunday December 6, 2009 in Akron Summa Hospital . He was born September 3, 1932 in Hartville to Walter and Thelma (West) Young and has been a lifetime resident of Hartville. Shorty was a mechanic, owned Young Motor Sales, drove school bus for Suffield and Hartville Schools for over 25 years, was a truck driver, sprayed trees, white-washed barns, plowed snow and would help do anything else that needed done. He graduated from Hartville High School and attended Mt. Union College . He attended the Uniontown Chapel of Faith, was a member of Hartville Deer Hunter's Club, the North Canton Eagles and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Young, daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta Sue "Susie" and Bob Blessing of Lowellville, Ohio, Natalie Jane "Janie" and Patrick Peralta of Perry Township, Kathy and Marty Matheny of Uniontown, son David Young of Hartville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Frank Lingenhoel of Louisville, Dolly Youels of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Ramon and Sue Young of Canton; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Pastors Bob and Sue Blessing officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Peace Cemetery.
