Lawrence E. Hart, Jr. passed away at the age of 84 years on August 2, 2013 with family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Hart, his wife of 51 years, the late Esther (Schmucker) Hart, his brother in-law, Norwood Schmucker and his sister and brother in-law, Eileen and Glenn Rafeld. He graduated from Middlebranch High School and retired from the Hoover Company where he worked in the Engineering Div. for 43 years. He is survived by his son, Lawrence Hart and wife Linda of Rochester Hills, Michigan, two daughters, Cynthia and husband Ross Lappin of Los Altos , California, and Melanie Hart and her Partner, John Schiavone of Guilford, Connecticut, four grandchildren, Tara Lappin Fortier and husband Roger, Drew Lappin and wife Kamala and their three children , Delanie, Andrew, and Alex all from California, Alex Hart and wife Christin of Frankford, Germany, and Dr. Ross Hart of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Also surviving is his brother, Theodore Hart and wife Helen of Leesburg, Florida and his close friend and companion, Patti Feller. Funeral service will be 11am, Friday, August 9th in the Spiker- Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW. Friends may call on Thursday, 6-9pm. Interment will be in Henry Warslter Cemetery.
