Obituary

LaVonne Anna Bloss Epley, "Aunt Bonnie", age 93, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 12, 2018. She was born July 14, 1924 to the late John Franklin Jr. and Arna (Fauver) Bloss. Her birthplace was located above Wagner's Drugstore, the building between Tessmers and the Hartville Chocolate Factory. She married Ralph Epley on June 28, 1949 and they lived in a homemade trailer on Woodside Dr., south of town. In 1950 they bought a trailer and lived on Lake Ave. for 55 years. She was employed at Basket factory 2 or 3 years then went to F. E. Schumacher working 19 years.

Starting in 1970's she followed Lake Youth Football games on Saturdays. On March 3, 1986 she joined the Lake Senior Center and began going on non-stop trips, playing Euchre, helping with the newsletter and making Valentines for the Veterans. She attended meetings for AARP. Her favorite colors are Pink and Purple, favorite animal cat, favorite holidays Christmas and Easter, favorite reading Lake Center Post and Hartville News, favorite hobby taking pictures and favorite song Old Time Rock and Roll.

She was preceded in death by siblings including sister Katherine Moon Edgell, and baby brother; she is survived by sister Rosemarie (Paul) Danzey; nieces and nephews including Ed and Lynda Moon, Jerry and Sandy Moon and Stanley (Caroline) Edgell.

Calling hours are Tuesday 10-11 Am at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are 11 AM with Rev. Thomas Bloom officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
