Larry D. "Boogie" Theil, age 61, of Canton, passed on March 1, 2016. He was born in Canton on July 5, 1954. He worked for Republic Steel for 15 years then went to house painting that he enjoyed.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Becky; children, Ian Theil, Monica (Phil) Sommers, Jacob (Tonya) Theil; step-children Guss (Melony) Tarr and Christina Ross; 13 grandchildren; mother Hilda Theil; brother Randy (Molly) Theil; sister Debbie (Joe) Cornprobst; brothers-in-law Jim (Sandy) and John (Melinda) Fronsman; numerous friends and relatives.

Preceded in death by his father Carl Theil; brother Robert Theil.

A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday March 12th, 2 PM at First Lutheran Church, 909 E. Tuscarawas St., with Pastor Darla Kratzer officiating. Receiving of friends will be prior to the service 1-2 PM.

He was loved and will be missed by all including his dog Bo.
