Obituary

Larry S. Pollak, age 55, born in New York City to the late Earl and Joan Pollak, passed away on October 19, 2011. Survived by his brothers, Daniel (Suzanne) Pollak and Chip Pollak; sister, Suzanne (Alan) Gilbert; nieces, nephews and his friends children who called him uncle. Larry is a graduate of Jackson High School in Massillon, OH, The Ohio State University and Toledo Law School. He served for 20 years as President of the Columbus Hebrew Free Loan Society, former board member of Columbus Torah Academy, former President of Americans for a Safe Israel, member of Zionist Organization of America, member of the Ohio Bar Assoc., legal counsel for Massillon and Canton Police Unions, was former Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Canton and he re-chartered the Ohio State Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi. Funeral Service 11:00a.m. on Sunday, October 23rd at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Chaim Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow at Canton Hebrew Cemetery, 2331 Central Ave. S.E., Canton, OH 44702. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zionist Organization of America, 4 E. 34th St., NY, NY 10016 or Columbus Torah Academy Scholarship Fund, 181 Noe Bixby Rd, Columbus 43213.
