Obituary

After a long battle with colon cancer and standing strong in God's promises; Larry D. Haas joined Jesus in paradise on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 2:59am. Larry was a great man of faith and well educated in God's word. He was born on Friday, August 10, 1945 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH where he was raised and stayed his entire life. After he had a heart attack in early 2000 and he was unable to return to work at his long time employer (TRW/PC Airfoils/Northrup Grumman) engine tolerance inspector, which was highly classified work for the government. Larry embraced his disability with excitement and a heart's desire to know God's word inside and out. Larry is preceded in death by: his forever love Sharon Lee (Wyant/Haas); Arthur Dale Haas (Father); Thelma Louse Rumbold/Haas (Mother); Joanne (sister); along with additional family including nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and friends. Larry is survived by his two sons in whom he was well pleased and very proud of: Larry Dewayne (Pressman at Rainbow Printing) married to Melissa (Shenton/Haas - Owner of Rose of Sharon Hospice Home) where he was taken care of by family since July 1st; Friedrich Von (Store Manager Wal-Mart) married to Lisa (Fisher/Haas - student at Kent State University) together they have 5 children: Tyler, Austin, Lauren, Emily, and Jacob. Also surviving are 2 sisters Barbara and Shelia, brother Art and their extended families. Arrangements are as follows: Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville, OH beginning at 11am; followed by a processional to Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville, OH where he will be laid to rest. Then everyone is invited back to the home of Larry & Melissa Haas for a family/friend reunion picnic & pool party. Please bring your own towels, lawn chairs, and your fondest memories to share. Please RSVP your attendance plans to Melissa at 330-354-1928. In lieu of flowers it was Larry's wishes that donations be made to: Rose of Sharon Home in Loving Memory of Larry D. Haas.
